Open Market - Policy

Open Market Policy

Introduction

At Electus - Legends of Sro, we are committed to fostering a balanced and fair in-game economy. To provide clarity on player-to-player transactions, we have established this Open Market Policy.
By participating in the game, all players agree to abide by the terms outlined below.

Player Responsibility

Players are solely responsible for any transactions they engage in. Our team does not intervene, regulate, or offer support for any Silk or Gold trades conducted between players. This means:

  • All transactions are made at the player’s own risk.
  • There are no refunds or reimbursements for fraudulent deals.
  • Players must exercise caution and verify the credibility of trade partners before engaging in any exchanges.

Trading Guidelines

To promote a safe trading environment, we encourage players to:

  • Avoid transactions with unknown or suspicious individuals.
  • Be aware of common scams where fraudsters impersonate administrators or request verification through Discord. One prevalent scam involves a scammer contacting a server admin, asking them to send a private message to the buyer. The scammer then tells the buyer that the admin is monitoring the transaction, creating a false sense of security. Trusting this, the buyer sends money to the scammer but never receives the promised in-game item. Players should remember that Electus staff does not oversee or validate trades, and any such claims should be treated as fraudulent.

Common Scams & How to Avoid Them

To further protect players, here are additional fraudulent schemes frequently used by scammers:

  1. Fake Middlemen: Scammers may claim to be trusted middlemen offering "safe" trading services. Only trust well-known community figures and verify their identities.
  2. Phishing Attempts: Be cautious of links or forms asking for your login credentials. Electus staff will never ask for your account details.
  3. Overpayment Traps: Some scammers offer more than the agreed price, then ask for a refund, tricking players into sending extra money.
  4. Fake Admin Confirmation: Scammers may impersonate admins or community figures to gain trust. They might create usernames similar to real admins, use fake profiles, or manipulate conversations to appear legitimate. Players should remain cautious and avoid trusting any third party claiming to validate a trade, as Electus staff does not oversee or verify player-to-player transactions.

Safe Trading Practices

To reduce risks when engaging in trades, we strongly recommend:

  • Double-checking the trade details before finalizing any deal.
  • Using trusted trade partners and avoiding rushed transactions.
  • Never sharing personal account details or passwords with anyone.
  • Verifying Discord User Identity:
Unique Username: Every Discord user has a unique username, but scammers may use similar-looking characters (e.g., replacing letters with numbers or doubling characters). Always verify carefully.
Mutual Servers & Friends: Check if the user is part of your mutual servers or has any shared friends.
Discord Badges: Official Discord badges (such as Nitro, Early Supporter, or Moderator badges) can help confirm a user's legitimacy. However, scammers may also have these badges, so use them as just one of many verification steps.

Violation and Enforcement

Players found violating this policy may face one or more of the following actions:

  • Temporary or permanent account suspension.
  • Removal of illegally acquired in-game assets.
  • Additional penalties at the discretion of the game administration.

Final Acknowledgment

By continuing to play Legends of Sro, all players acknowledge that they:

  • Understand and accept the risks associated with player-to-player transactions.
  • Agree to follow the rules set forth in this policy.
  • Recognize that Electus holds no liability for disputes or losses arising from Silk, item and Gold trading.
  • Special Note: You must be actual player to sell/buy, you cant just be a gbot only thing you doing is selling/buying or you will get permanent banned from game
